I always stuff my turkey with poutine.
As usual, I’m kicking back and letting my mom do the cooking. That means turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, and gravy. Usually some salad and raw veggies for those who are so inclined. Apple crisp and pumpkin pie for dessert. And wine…lots of wine.
Ooh, maybe I will make that cake Magda, it sounds good. We’re having Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, a sweet potatoe dish with brown sugar, pecans and maple syrup, green and yellow beans with roasted pine nuts and Parmesan, and probably some Perogies, dinner rolls and gravy.
OMG, I can’t even imagine adding poutine to the Thanksgiving meal! Though my son would love it. We’re doing two Thanksgiving dinners. Going to my parents where they’ll serve turkey, stuffing, gravy, some kind of potato, green beans, similar to @Linda’s above, broccoli & cauliflower casserole, ‘sunshine salad’(…a lemon jello with carrots & pineapple salad straight from the 70′s…my Mum, bro and I are the only ones who love it, my DH and SIL make fun of it), apple pie and ‘something new’. I may bake a pumpkin cheesecake while I’m there.
Then we come home to host my BIL’s family. We’re having a brined turkey, stuffing, gravy, scalloped potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce with vanilla & maple syrup, Brussels sprouts with bacon, maybe another green, and tarte tatin for desert. DH is doing most of the cooking and will also serve his homemade goat cheese with some bread and olives for hors d’oeuvres before.
